CPA ISSUES MORATORIUM OF PORT FEES AMID COVID-19 CRISIS

246 REPATRIATED OFWS ARRIVE IN CEBU PORT

A total of 246 repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) arrived in Cebu port yesterday, according to the Cebu Port Authority (CPA).

CPA General Manager Leonilo Miole in a statement said that the arrival of the stranded OFWs in Cebu and other neighboring provinces are through the efforts of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). CPA EMPLOYEES TO RECEIVE COVID-19 HAZARD PAY

In compliance with Administrative Order No. 26 issued by President Rodrigo R. Duterte authorizing the grant of COVID-19 Hazard Pay to government personnel, the Cebu Port Authority (CPA) announced that all CPA employees who are physically reporting for work as their services are urgently necessary will each receive COVID-19 Hazard Pay at P500 per day times the number of days that they have physically reported for work during the quarantine period. Following the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) imposed in the entire Cebu Province, the Cebu Port Authority (CPA) assured the public that all port terminals remain fully operational to ensure the continued flow of goods.

The Cebu Port Authority (CPA) in coordination with the Cebu City Government will be facilitating the safe disembarkation and temperature scanning of passengers to arrive in Cebu today until March 18, 2020.
