Effective December 16, 2010, per CPA M.C. 07-2010, all outbound loaded container vans at the Baseport of Cebu will be subject to mandatory weighing of its cargoes and conform with the allowable container weight and prescribed gross vehicle weight, before they can be loaded to vessels at the Cebu Baseport.
The CPA Administrative Order No. 01-2010, otherwise known as the Mandatory Weighing of All Outbound Loaded Container Vans at the Baseport of Cebu, expressly provides that no container vans or other cargo-on-truck for loading to vessels at the Domestic Zone shall be allowed entry at the gates without a validated weighing slip/receipt issued by an accredited weighbridge operator.

All private ports are encouraged to register themselves with the Cebu Port Authority and avail of the premium granted to registered private ports under the new Omnibus Policy on the Development, Construction and Operation of Private Ports within the Jurisdiction of the CPA (CPA Administrative Order No. 02-2010).
Registered private commercial and non-commercial ports are imposed only 50% of the regular port charges for usage/berthing, anchorage and wharfage fees, while unregistered ports are collected 100% of the applicable port charges.
