Newly re-appointed General Manager of the Cebu Port Authority Angelo C. Verdan has directed the installation of water dispensers at Passenger Terminal 1, Pier 1 and Passenger Terminal 2, Pier 3.
For safety reasons, the Hot & Cold feature is not enabled to avoid any electrocution or injury by burning of hot water.
This answers the clamor of many our boat passengers for free drinking water inside the passenger terminal as bottled water costs from P20 to P30 per bottle. This will also help quench the thirst of our poor passengers especially when they are stranded and the stores inside the terminal are already closed.
A healthy baby boy was delivered by CPA medical responders with the assistance of volunteer medical responders of Cebu Arrastre and Stevedoring Services Corporation (CASSCOR) and Oriental Port and Allied Service Corporation (OPASCOR) inside OPASCOR ambulance on the way to Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) hospital last 27 December 2016 at exactly 2020H.
The mother and child were safely brought to CCMC and were later transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) for further medical evaluation.
The readiness of the medical responders and standby ambulance with necessary medical equipment is part of the Authority’s implementation of Oplan Ligtas Biyahe: Krismas 2016, from 15 December 2016 to 4 January 2017.
