The Cebu Port Authority is glad to announce its newest RoRo link to Larena, Siquijor with Super Shuttle Ferry 16 leaving daily from the Port of Oslob, Cebu to Larena, Siquijor beginning January 30, 2011.

   The RoRo-passenger vessel departs Oslob twice a day at 9:30 A.M. and 5:30 A.M. to Larena, Siquijor and back to Oslob at 2:00 P.M. and 6:30 A.M.  For inquiries, you may contact Asian Marine Transport Corporation through its operations manager, Mr. Romar Puyod at 0922-8802517, 032-2310639 and 032-3455581.

       This newest addition to CPA's roro links brings to 17 the number of roro linkages from Cebu to its neighboring provinces including Bohol, Leyte, Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental. Below are our roro ports and their counterparts in other provinces. Bon voyage!

      In a turnover ceremony on December 15, 2010 witnessed by the previous and new set of commissioners of the Cebu Port Commission, department managers, personnel and staff, the CPA officially announced the election of Engr. Dennis R. Villamor as the new CPA general manager and vice-chairman of the 6th Cebu Port Commission.

     Villamor, who represents the business sector in the board of commissioners, took his oath of office on December 13, 2010 in Manila together with five other members of the 6th Cebu Port Commission, namely, outgoing CPA GM Vicente Suazo, Jr. and Benjamin Akol representing the shipping sector; Tomas Riveral and Joselito Pedaria of the cargo-handling labor sector and Carlos Co, also of the business sector.

     Villamor was then elected by the commission as the new CPA general manager during a board meeting called for the purpose earlier in the morning of December 15, 2010.

     Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) Undersecretary Aristotle Batuhan, who sits as alternative chairman of the CPA board of commissioners, stayed to witness the ceremonial turnover of the reins of management from the outgoing general manager, Commissioner Suazo, Jr. to Villamor.

     Prior to his assumption as head of office, Villamor was deputy general manager of the CPA since February 2003.
