The maximum allowable load limit for domestic containers has now been increased to 22.5 tons per TEU.

Effective December 16, 2011, all loaded domestic outbound container vans with maximum gross weight of 22.5 tons per TEU as reflected in the weigh slips pf CPA accredited weighbridge operators may now enter the Cebu Baseport.

The increase in the load limit was set by the CPA under Memorandum Circular No. 09, series of 2011 dated December 2, 2011.

The said Circular amends CPA Memorandum Circular No. 06-2010 which had set the maximum load limit for domestic containers at 20.5 tons.
