Business at CPA
The Business Marketing and Development Department BMDD) of Cebu Port Authority is currently focuses on Marketing Initiatives, Sales, Port Information Development for promotions purposes to its clientele and the general public, and implementation and management of application and processing of permits, licenses, accreditations, and other business-related procedures.
Permits and Licenses – The Department processes several permits for port users particularly on vehicle passes, both temporary and annual passes. Permits and Licenses include:
- Annual Vehicle Pass
- Temporary Vehicle Pass
- Personnel Pass
- Permit to Post Temporary Advertisement
- Permit to Operate – Customs Brokerage
- Permit to Operate – Other Business / Ancillary Services
Leases - an agreement under which the Authority allows a party to use or occupy its property for a specified rent and period which may run on a monthly basis or as long as 1-25 years depending on the type of property and subject to conditions and requirements as provided by law and the Authority's policy on leases. Lease include:
- Lease of Commercial Advertising Spaces
- Lease of Open Space
- Lease of Enclosed / Covered Area
- Lease of Open Sheds
- Lease of Office Space
- Lease of Concessionaire Space
- Lease of Ticket Booths
- Lease of Building
- Special Business Permit
Accreditations of Cargo Handling Service Provider – The Authority may accredit cargo handling service providers who serve for both government and private ports within the baseport and outports scattered throughout Cebu. It is renewable on a yearly basis provided such cargo handler complies all necessary requirements. In cases where renewal is pending, a hold-over permit may be secured from the Authority and is processed by the Business Marketing and Development Department.
Accreditations of Security Services - Security agencies and any other entities which perform security services in the Port of Cebu, whether for its office or for other offices located in the Cebu Baseport, must likewise accredit themselves with the Authority.
Permits for Private Port Facilities – Private Ports, yet to be developed or constructed and those that already exist, may process for permit at the Business Department. |
